Note: Before proceeding, Perform a backup of your website database and server files before you attempt to do any updates. This counts for any update! (Not only for the theme but for any update you wish to execute.) You want to be able to restore to a working version of your website in case something goes wrong.

Envato Market Plugin method

• The Envato Market Plugin helps you receive updates to your themes purchased through Envato Market (ThemeForest). The plugin Settings Page allows you to configure your Envato API Personal Token.

• This API token is generated from build.envato.com and will allow WordPress to securely receive item updates. Once the Envato API connection is made from the Settings page, a list of available themes will be shown. Any available theme updates can be applied here.

• Don’t forget to update the required plugins after the theme update.

Manual Update method

If you don’t want to or can’t use the plugin, you can always update the theme manually in two ways:

Via WordPress

• Deactivate and remove the old version (all settings will be saved)

• Install the new version

• Activate the new version

• Well done No settings will be lost during the update process, but we strongly recommend that you always test updates on a staging server first or take a backup beforehand.

Via FTP

---

• Remove the folder bakery via FTP and re-upload

• When the theme is updated, update the required plugins if you see the ‘Require Update’ notice next to some plugin names.
